Francisco Castañeda has been hiding in plain sight and winning two tournaments in a row, hence his new nickname: El Llanero Solitario. For those of you who may not know, El Llanero Solitario is the famous, The Lone Ranger. He would ride into town, find out the problem, and proceeded to kick ass. Well, it seems that Francisco quietly comes in to a tournament, silently goes about his business, and BANG, he wins the darn thing. At Sterling Hills he won first place net with a 68 and again at River Ridge, Vineyard course, with a 72. He out-dueled Efrain by one shot. Francisco had taken a class at city college and began playing in 2006- 2008, but he never really got serious until he joined the Amigos Golf Club in 2018. Now, he attributes his new success to pointers he has received from John Trueba, Joe Puga, and some guy named Hector Betancourt. So, if you ever hear someone shout, "Who was that masked man?" You will know that it was, El Llanero Solitario!
